Sometimes theology has to use analogies and models to explain things we have never before encountered or conceived. This is what the author of Hebrews is doing here - using the familiar systems and concepts of the sacrificial system to try to articulate the salvation we have in and through Jesus. The simple truth is this: No more sacrifice is needed. Jesus has done all that is necessary to deal with our sin and grant us access to the presence of God. Now we have full access, and it's time for us to use our access, our privilege, to fling the doors open for others.
